Who we are
This website is operated by Lumenid Limited (“Lumen ID”, “we”,
“us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this
policy. We are registered in the United Kingdom under company number NI622548.
Our registered office is at Unit 2C Ballinderry Business Park, 58 Ballinderry Road, Lisburn, BT28 2SA.
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under
reference ZB128709.
The information we collect
You can read everything on this website without giving us any personal data. We do not
operate accounts or logins here. We do not track your activity for marketing or
advertising.
We hold personal data only when you choose to give it to us:
- When you contact us. If you send the contact form, email us at
info@lumenid.co.uk, call us or otherwise get in touch, we receive your name and contact
details. We also receive your company name if you give it and whatever you include in
your message.
- Visit statistics. Our website platform, Wix, records how the site is
used so we can see how many people visit. For example, it records which pages are
viewed, roughly which country visitors are in and the type of device and browser. This runs only if
you accept it in the cookie banner. We use it only to understand how the site is used,
not to identify you.
- Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our hosting
provider records limited technical data when a page is served (for example your IP
address, browser type and the time of the request). This is used to keep the site
running securely and is not used to identify you.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- To reply to you and discuss potential work: our legitimate interest
in responding to enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering a
contract.
- To deliver a project, where you become a client: performance of a
contract with you.
- To keep the website secure and available: our legitimate interest in
protecting our systems, and compliance with our legal obligations.
- To understand how the website is used, where you allow it: your
consent, given in the cookie banner.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only where necessary with trusted
service providers acting on our behalf and where we are required to by law. These
providers include Wix, which hosts this website and stores contact form messages, and
our email provider. Any provider handling personal data on our behalf is bound to process it only on
our instructions and to keep it secure.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on
appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy
regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.
Enquiries, including contact form messages, are kept while we are in contact and for a
reasonable period afterwards. Client records are kept for the life of the engagement and
for as long as we are required to retain them for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Technical server logs
are kept only for a short period.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent to visit statistics at any time, using “Cookie
settings” at the bottom of every page;
- ask us to transfer your data to another provider, where applicable.

Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website can store in your browser. This website does
not use advertising or tracking cookies. Its cookies all come from Wix, our
website platform.
Essential cookies keep the site working, so they do not need your consent:
- wixSession: holds your visit’s session with Wix so the contact
form can send your message. Until you close your browser.
- client-session-bind and server-session-bind: protect
the site’s connection to Wix against misuse. Until you close your browser.
- consent-policy: remembers your choice in the cookie banner. 12 months.
Statistics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner:
To change your choice, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
The site loads its fonts and images from our own servers. Its only other content comes
from Wix. If we add anything in future that sets further cookies (for example marketing
tags), we will update this policy. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your
consent first.
